While destroying your own body through bad eating habits seems irrational on the face of it, I think it makes some sense when you look at the issue of self-determination. If you don't feel you own your life, you have a slave body. And the only power a slave has is to deprive their masters of the ability to maximize the slave's potential. When you add this reasoning to the fact tasty food is instant gratification, I think the epidemic of obesity is inevitable.

I was a bullied child throughout my whole childhood. I ate to cope with it but my anxiety over getting beaten up again or humiliated or made fun of the next day sped up my metabolism to the point that I was almost anorexic no matter how much I ate. The teachers didnt care. They thought that it was either something thatI had to handle in order to become a man or were too cowardly to deal with the parents of the abusers. No one should go through that.
