Thank you [1] Chetan Dhruve for pointing out this recent [2] Harvard study on the ubiquity of poor management. As Dhruve points out, the Harvard solutions are a bit pedestrian, and they might actually contribute to demotivation if the over-inspirational manager comes across as a fake and a manipulator.
